Successful sound tests for EXTE Elite XT
OPTIMUM SOUND INSULATION FOR ROLLER SHUTTER BOX SYSTEM
Current sound tests show excellent airborne sound insulation values for the EXTE Elite XT roller shutter box system. Without additional measures, the Elite XT 240x255 achieves a sound insulation level of 39 decibels in the bottom/inner revision type. With the use of the soundproof strip, even 43 to a maximum of 48 decibels are possible. During an external inspection, the sound insulation is up to 46; with external blinds, up to 43 decibels.
As part of the window, attachment box systems must meet high requirements for airborne sound insulation. As a rule, proof is provided within the framework of DIN 4109 with the aim of protecting people from harassment caused by sound transmission. On the other hand, the use of tested components creates legal certainty if deficiencies in sound insulation can be ruled out by proof of a test certificate.
With a total of 32 new test certificates, EXTE now demonstrates the airborne sound insulation of its EXTE Elite XT roller shutter box system for four box sizes and the four inspection types inside, below, outside and external blinds. The range of sound insulation ranges from 38 to 48 decibels, depending on the sound insulation technology used and the box size. The maximum value of 48 decibels is achieved with the exactly matching soundproof strip. When the tank is pulled on, it provides a soundproof seal for the exhaust port. Its integrated rubber piping allows it to be placed almost silently when the armor is lowered and provides additional protection against freezing the end rod on the window sill at sub-zero temperatures.
