EXTE has revised its concept for guide rails and now offers special insulation wedges for its roller shutter box systems in the external and external blind inspection types. This ensures the perfect connection of the entire roller shutter box system to composite thermal insulation systems when using mini and maxi bars.
The RAL guideline from ift Rosenheim provides for the professional installation of windows with shutter attachment boxes in the construction situation with a composite thermal insulation system to insulate the shutter frame of 30 mm. EXTE's new guide rail concept now makes this possible for PVC and aluminum guide rails. This is because these can be optionally equipped with an insulation wedge and achieve an optimal connection in the composite thermal insulation system. The construction connection joint is also taken into account.
The PVC version of the shutter frame insulation is also available for mini shutter rods. The aluminum rails can be equipped either with brushes or piping for both mini and maxi rods. Both variants also have a blind frame seal against driving rain. According to DIN 4108 Supplement 2, a temperature factor fRsi ≥ 0.70 and a psi value ≤ 0.08 W/ (mK) are required for guide rails. The new EXTE guide rails far exceed these values and thus provide additional planning security.
Type of inspection inside and below
Thanks to the small width of the RLS 35 x 51 roller shutter rail (W x H in mm), the façade insulation is 25 mm above the shutter frame. Together with the connection joint of at least 10 mm, this results in a total insulation of 35 mm. The standard RLS 60 x 51 guide rail (W x H in mm) for the type of inspection inside and below is installed flush with the window on the outside. The large hollow chamber at the back also ensures excellent insulation values.
External revision type achieves maximum results
The two-piece RLS 60 x 86 guide rail (W x H in mm) for external inspection is also installed flush with the window on the outside. As standard, the adapter profile has a large chamber, which alone improves the isothermal flow. For maximum results, it is recommended to use an insulation wedge in the rear chamber of the profile. This solution is perfect for roller shutter and external blind solutions in low-energy houses.
