Bonn/Wipperfürth (prs). Rewindo GmbH Fenster-Recycling-Service, Bonn, has already won several extrusion companies as premium partners in recent years. Another company from this sector has now been added: The Exte Group based in Wipperfürth has joined the partner network of the nationwide system for PVC old window recycling. This brings the number of premium partners to 27. They represent the entire value chain for PVC windows, from window construction, extrusion, films, recycling machine construction and glass to fittings and steel reinforcement. “We are pleased to further strengthen the extrusion sector in our network for recycling, resource efficiency and sustainability,” says Rewindo managing director Michael Vetter.
Exte is an owner-managed family business that has been developing and producing products and solutions for the construction industry in the second generation for 65 years. This includes shutter box systems, window accessory systems, cladding solutions and formwork accessories. With a total of five locations in Germany and Poland, customers in all strategic markets are supplied with over 12,000 different products worldwide. The group of companies employs more than 400 people and achieves an annual turnover of over 100 million euros. The production plant in Wipperfürth covers 13,500 square meters. Customer groups include window manufacturers. “Our company pursues a zero-waste strategy in which 100 percent of production waste is channelled into the material cycle. We were therefore happy to join Rewindo's premium partner network because the industry solution with the material cycle for old PVC windows and production waste pursues goals that fit very well with our corporate philosophy,” says Tobias Marten, Head of Marketing and Product Management.
Michael Vetter: “Our premium partners are taking advantage of the opportunity to actively shape the future of window recycling. Recognized with the premium partner logo as a seal of approval, they benefit from bundling and transfer of knowledge, coordinated representation of interests, listing on the Rewindo website as a recommended sustainable specialist company, PR support and joint advertising,” says Vetter. By joining the Rewindo partner network, Exte has also indirectly joined the Circular Plastic Alliance (CPA) created by the EU Commission, which includes over 100 companies and associations from the entire plastics value chain. Rewindo itself has been part of this alliance since 2020 through the European Window Profile Association EPPA.
“With strong partners at our side, we are even better positioned to achieve our goal of increasing annual recycling volumes and intensively anchoring our service along the value chain in the coming years. This is also in line with VinylPlus, the sustainability program of the European PVC industry,” stressed Vetter.
